Bound & Blooming began with a simple idea; that a candle shouldn’t be something you burn through and replace, but something that lives in your home.
The kind of piece that becomes part of your everyday. Quiet mornings, slow evenings, and the spaces in between.
Each candle is created with intention, from the scent to the vessel it’s poured into.
Some are one of a kind upcycled pieces. Others are brand new and designed to be loved, refilled and returned to again and again.
Because the most sustainable object is one you never want to throw away.
The Story Behind Bound & Blooming
Hi! I’m Hollie, the person behind Bound & Blooming.
What started as a quiet creative outlet slowly became something more.
I began making candles for myself. it felt wasteful to keep throwing away beautiful containers that could still be used.
Somewhere along the way, I realized how much I genuinely enjoyed the process and that it was something I wanted to keep doing and eventually share with others.
Life Outside Bound & Blooming
Outside of Bound & Blooming, I’m originally from Newfoundland, Canada, but have called BC home for the past ten years. My husband is from Vancouver Island, and we’ve built a life here together.
I’m happiest in slower, quieter places; camping, near the water, or surrounded by trees.
I’ve always loved animals, and share my home with my dog Joni and my cat Doug. Both rescues, which has been one of the most rewarding experiences.
That same appreciation for nature, and for the things we choose to keep and care for is what continues to shape Bound & Blooming.
